Watch Out For Those Little Guys...

This guy wasn't scared of me. Not one little bit.

To prove it, he did a few push-ups for me.

I took a couple of pictures and moved along.

I wasn't going to mess with anyone who can do twice as many push-ups as I can and not break a sweat. But now that I think on it, I have no idea whether or not lizards even sweat. He might have been at the limits of his strength and been doing whatever the lizard version of sweat is just to try to scare me into leaving.

Whatever. It worked. He won.

The second one is just some wild flowers or weeds maybe. I liked the photo anyway.

Note: I embedded one of my new panoramic photos into the title block of this photography blog. I posted a larger version of that shot on my other blog today, if you care to go over and see it. I'm really liking how doing good panoramas is relatively easy. Easy enough that it's not discouraging, and hard enough that I feel a sense of accomplishment. Cool.

If you go over there, you might want to read and look at my Sunday post. I posted some photos of a Delta Airlines facility tour in Atlanta in the late 1980, when I worked for them. It's pretty neat and interesting.

He's extremely cute! Thanks for your comment on my blog today. My photo was taken at Carmel mission. I was interested to read what you said about guns. I think it is more an aversion to the thought of ME shooting a gun off than to guns per se. i have such terrible aim. I couldn't even hit my hubby when i threw a courgette at him LOL

Great photo of the gecko and his pushups. I like how the sun spotlights the creature.
Take a look at my son's blog Mr. Mapper (my blog has the link)from a few days ago and see the lizard he photographed.

I like the little guy. He was probably just telling you that he claims the territory.

And your panorama - delightful to see, Jam. It's almost as good as being there.

Cool spotlight effect on that Lizard.

...Yeah, the first time I saw Jaci was back in 1998 when she was around 19 years old (like me). She was touring with 4HIM...I even got her autograph then. It might had been the same tour?

Those lizards were abundant in Louisiana when I was a little boy, and were some of our favorite things to catch and play with.
