I Know, and I Don't Know

I tried to look up what these plants were, because honestly, I had no idea.

I found out that the plant in the first photo is called Buttonbush (Cephalanthus occidentalis).

The second one, although pretty nifty looking, eluded all of my attempts at finding out what it was. The leaves on the plant reminded me of magnolia leaves, but nothing I could find online under magnolia plants and trees looked like this.

So number one is Buttonbush, while number two is a mystery.

Sorry, can't help you with the mystery plant...

But your panaroma photos are really cool! I wish I had Photoshop -(

Happy Birthday to your Big Sis! And don't tease her too much, you'll be there yourself someday ;-)

I really like the new pano at the top of your blog. It says, "FLORIDA"!

Isabella, I use Photoshop Elements 4.0, they are up to version 5.0 now, and it can be found for around $70.

Elements is a dumbed-down version of the "real" Photoshop, but is a really, really capable program in it's own right. I have never had the courage to spend $600 on a software program like Photoshop CS3 (the latest real Photoshop) costs.

Thanks Daniel and John.
