I had to look this one up, but at least I was able to find and identify it.
It sure was a pretty tree.
Though it's blurry, if you look to the left of the blooms you can see a piece of fruit growing.
I also posted a couple of recent photos on my other blog today.

I agree, it is pretty.
Nice capture John.
That tree must look fantastic. Lovely pic, blue and green always look good together in nature but never in fashion!:)
I became aware of the Jacaranda tree when I was leading a tour in So. California. It was so feathery and lovely but the petals falling on the sidewalks really are messy and stain everything. The petals do look like pale lavender snow when they fall.
Hi John,
When I loook at your last tree uploads I think you and I are really having the same (digital) thoughts, its really 'a way of looking' I like in your style, I am proud on you, your photography!!!
BTW;) I leave for a week to paris for my birthday ,and our 20th anniversary, I left a slideshow from my last nature-works, Leaving-leaves, please take a look, you might like it...
Miss you JoAnn :)
every time i spot them while being driven around from pt A to pt B by my husband (i dont drive here yet), i want to capture them.....they grow so up high......you capture Florida as I like it on your blog :)
Very pretty and my favourite colour. Just the thing to look at on a wet night in England!
John,
Love youe blog and photos !
The Jacaranda pic intrigued me ... this tree is in flower right now, right here in Australia ! I just put a photo up on my blog too, by coincidence.
It's a funny old world.
