I simply tried to photograph the grass-like growth on this rock in the water of the Indian River Lagoon.
I really like this photo but I'm not exactly sure why. I think that it's the reflections of the sunlight on the slightly blurry, moving water that seals the deal for me.

Yes, it's definitely the light on the water, highlighting the pattern of it's flow around the rock. I like it too, it has atmosphere and movement!
bob-Kat said it right.
Your photo just keeps the eye looking on.
i agree John..at first glance it looks like a simple shot and then it grows upon you as u start noticing all that this shot has to offer........i love the simplicity of your shots...they speak volumes to moi....talking about volumes, how;s the novel coming along???? good luck with it ....will we get a chance to have a look at it some day, once you are done with it ??? i'd love to if you'll like to share :)
The contrast of the blurry water and the incandescence of the green. Lovely.
It has an almost abstract feel yet it's also very alive. i like it.
You're definitely on a roll with these nature abstracts!
