Florida Woods

Palm trees in the woods still seems kind of strange to me even after having lived here for 11 years.

This was in one of our many parks here, the kind where they are set aside to show Florida in it's natural state, as opposed to the playground and swing set kind of park.

I liked the look of these photos, and tried some Elements trickery on them.

As I look at my 35mm slides and compare them to my digital camera photos, I find that I sometimes miss the "thickness", huge color saturation and higher contrast of slide film.

I used these two photos as test beds for my machinations and I like how they turned out.

To you guys, they just look like more photos, but they do have that denser look to them that slide film has when I compare them to their original versions.

Anyway, it was fun for me.
