Mobile Bay, 1983

These are a couple of my old 35mm slides that I have scanned. They were taken on a day where we went to tour the USS Alabama, a WWII era battleship that is moored there.

The first one is a small boat at the edge of Mobile Bay in Mobile, Alababama. I did the Photoshop Elements version of the Orton process to give it a dreamy look.

The second photo is of fishing boats and hopeful birds circling them out in Mobile Bay. This photo was actually taken while standing on the deck of the battleship. Notice the one little island out there in the bay too. Beyond the island is the Gulf of Mexico.

Nice shots. The birds never miss a chance for free food and these boats are probably providing a smorgasboard.

I love that first photo. It looks like you could sit there and look at it all day.
