Black and White #5

I guess these pics don't really need much in the way of comments.

The top one though, was interesting. This pattern of cotton twine was on a palm tree near it's base. I think the cross shape was accidental.

The other photo is just a B&W version of a shot I took going to the beach at one of our favorite locations down here.

Black and white photo's are so atmospheric. I just love the beach one. The perspective on it is great!

That second shot is great. I love the lines in it and the B&W tone is perfect. Nice!

John,

These are nice shots. I think the top one is interesting because of the cross shape. I like the bottom one because of the lines.

Hope you are doing well. Did you get any rain with the tropical storm?

Mike

Thanks everyone. That second one was so contrasty that I took it thinking it would look good in B&W.

Mike, yes we had a good bit of rain from the tropical storm. Lovely Wife was up several times Friday night, and I slept through every bit of it. The Weather Channel said we had over six inches of rain Friday and Saturday in Melbourne, which is flush up against the north side of Palm Bay, and the closest airport and weather station to where I live. After living through several hurricanes, tropical storms don't get us very wound up any more, though we don't take them for granted. We try to always have supplies, because to the average resident of Florida, FPL does not stand for Florida Power and Light like they claim, but FLICKER Power and Light. We can lose power in a decent breeze where we live. And don't get me started on Bright House Cable...

I really like the second one. I love how that long walkway goes to the beach.

I like both of these. They are both very "moody" - something that just wouldn't have come across in color.

Very striking indeed
