Sometimes



Sometimes you go to the beach down here, and the nearest person to you is about half a mile away.

Nice.

Our Taurus was the only car in the huge parking lot at this public beach access the day I took these photos.

Like you, I prefer to enjoy scenes like this without a crowd. I remember reading a book when I was a boy about Abraham Lincoln that said Abe's father believed that if he could see the smoke from a neighbor's chimney, they were too close and it was time to move on. I don't know if that story is true, but I understand the sentiment.
